Medicine Creek Reservoir

Medicine Creek Reservoir is rated by many visitors as one of Nebraska’s loveliest recreation spots. Medicine Creek offers outdoor enthusiasts plenty of recreational opportunity, plus solitude and private space to get away from it all. Long bays that pocket the winding shore and the small islands provide anglers with hot spots for great fishing. The reservoir also features two-bedroom lakeside cabins that are perfect for experiencing the beauty of southern Nebraska.

Red Willow Reservoir

Some of the finest fishing and hunting in the state are found at Red Willow Reservoir, and the area has excellent facilities for camping and water-oriented recreation. Red Willow Reservoir offers 4,320 acres of land around a 1,628-acre lake. Camping, swimming, picnicking, and water recreation are very popular at Red Willow.

Swanson Reservoir

Swanson Reservoir State Recreation Area is the largest of four recreation areas in the southwest part of the state. Located west of McCook, Swanson consists of a 4,974 acre lake and 3,957 acres of land. The area offers fishing, boating, camping, concessions, hunting and miles of scenic prairie.
